I’ve had a tremendous amount of success with my Chiari malformation patients over the years. The key to correcting this condition is to find out what is causing the malformation in the first place. 100% of these patients all had structural abnormalities and improper biomechanics in the spine which are correctable through proper chiropractic techniques. For example, all my patients with Chiari had massive forward head carriage which literally stretches the spinal cord and thus pulls the brain into the spinal canal. By reversing this forward cervical curve and restoring the normal curves in spine this eliminates stretching of the spinal cord and relieves the tension on the brain thus eliminating the Chiari malformation.

Here are some examples of a loss of the normal cervical curve:

If you have been diagnosed with Chiari malformation, the best option would be to find a corrective chiropractor that can analyze your spine and nervous system, identify the specific problems, and correct them accordingly. Make sure you find a chiropractor with the skills necessary to reshape the structure of the spine and restore normal biomechanics.
